SEOUL, Oct. 5 (Korea Bizwire) — Starbucks Korea employees are considering staging a protest over their excessive workload.
Industry sources said that several Starbucks employees are communicating via Blind, an anonymous chat app for employed workers and staff, to stage a protest in trucks to demand a better working environment.
Starbucks Korea does not have a labor union, but the discussion among Starbucks employees for a protest seems to have sparked after the multi-use cup giveaway event held late last month.
Customers flocked to Starbucks stores to get free multi-use cups, which they can get for purchasing a Starbucks drink.
Starbucks Korea has been holding regular giveaway and promotion events, which seems to have sparked complaints among employees.
