SEOUL, Dec. 20 (Korea Bizwire) — A K-pop fan club in Thailand visited slums to share end-of-year compassion with the poor.
Some 30 members of the BTS and So Ji-sub fan clubs visited Khlong Toei, a downtown slum in Bangkok last Friday.
They were the winners of the K-pop cover dance festival held by the South Korean embassy in Bangkok last month.
The K-pop fans visited the Duang Prateep Foundation, engaged in helping the poor in this part of town, to donate the Korean food they received as a prize for winning the dance festival.
The members gave out Korean spicy noodles and handmade cookies and cakes to children in the slum.
“Our hearts are deeply moved by this gesture, which was completed in collaboration with the South Korean embassy and other agencies,” said Prateep Ungsongtham Hata, the Secretary General of the foundation.
