7-Eleven’s ‘Mykeyring’ Character Products Top 2 mln Mark in Cumulative Sales

SEOUL, Aug. 5 (Korea Bizwire)Convenience store chain 7-Eleven said Thursday that the cumulative sales of its “mykeyring” character products had passed the 2 million mark.

7-Eleven released the industry’s first “Pokemon Surprise” mykeyring last month and started selling “Jjanggu” and “Sanrio” mykeyring products in May.

These products were developed on the basis of formal contracts with official license holders.

At 7-Eleven, the July sales of the “Toy Candy” category covering candies and character products marked a ninefold increase compared to a year ago thanks to the spike in sales of the mykeyring character products.
