ULSAN, Oct. 31 (Korea Bizwire)Held in the Chinese city of Wuhan last year, the 8th Annual “Asian Bird Fair” will open on November 17 at Ulsan’s Taehwagang Migratory Bird Park. This marks the first time that the bird watching event takes place on South Korean soil. More than 30,000 visitors and 42 organizations from North America, Africa and Europe are expected to attend.

The location was approved by the organizing committee based partly on the fact that airborne “dances” by rooks native to the region can be seen year-round.

The five-day event will consist of birdwatching and exhibitions the first three days. A Taehwagang (Taehwa River) birdwatching excursion is planned for November 20. After the closing ceremony on November 21, a post-event birdwatching tour that will take visitors through key sites like Changnyeong County, Suncheonman Bay and Junam Reservoir is scheduled.
