SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Korea Bizwire) — A new survey showed that foreigners worldwide are deeply interested in traveling to Seoul.
The Seoul Tourism Organization conducted a survey of 9,181 foreigners from seven regions across the world, 91.9 percent of whom said they wanted to travel to Seoul when foreign travel opens up.
Among Korean respondents, 94.6 percent were also interested in traveling to Seoul.
Among them, 66.5 percent were women, and 73.8 percent were residing in the country.
A majority of Korean and non-Korean respondents wanted to visit ‘local hotspots’, ‘landmarks’, and ‘historical sites’ in Seoul.
‘Shopping’ ranked fourth on the list of the most popular travel destination in Seoul for Koreans, and in fifth place for foreigners. ‘Hotel vacations and luxury tours’ ranked fifth for Koreans and ‘Korean Wave Tours’ ranked fourth for foreigners.
