SEOUL, Dec. 1 (Korea Bizwire)On the last day of November, Facebook Korea hosted a “Facebook Community Day” event promoting its Groups service.

The motivation for the celebration stems from CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg’s declared goal of building and strengthening communities on Facebook.

A number of well-known South Korean groups were introduced throughout the day.

Group organizers for entrepreneurs, alcohol-free meetups and advice on living alone communities attended the event in person, where they shared their experiences.

According to CEO of Facebook Korea Cho Yong-bum, South Korea has 18 million monthly Facebook users.
