SEOUL, Nov. 14 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean President Moon Jae-in found himself at the center of attention after his speech at the Asian Business and Investment Summit in Manila, when he was beset by requests for selfies from excited attendees all around.
Held at 2 p.m. at the Solaire Resort in Manila, Moon gave a 15-minute talk on the South Korea – ASEAN relationship going forward, interrupted on multiple occasions by rounds of applause from the crowd.
Cordially agreeing to every request for a selfie, Moon swapped casual photo-taking with the official photo-op that had been planned for after the event.
Manila is the third and last stop of Moon’s 8-day, Southeast Asia tour. Before landing in the Philippines, the president had visited Indonesia and Vietnam, where he met face to face with China’s Xi Jinping. Moon is slated to return to South Korea on November 15.
