SEOUL, Jan. 17 (Korea Bizwire) – K-pop idol, Marvel Superhero, why not both?
Billboard reported January 16 that the marriage of K-pop and superhero embodied in character Luna Snow will be made available via the action role-playing game “Marvel Future Fight” come January 24.
K-pop superstar by day and crime-fighting hero by night, Snow, whose “real” name is Seol-hee, works as a musician to support her grandmother who raised her. Snow’s powers entail the manipulation of ice, which she gained when she was exposed to chemicals at Iron Man/Tony Stark’s Stark Industries. While performing a gig at the industrial park, Snow came into contact with the material that would transform her into a superhero when she heroically rushed to the aid of people being attacked by an organized crime unit.
The materialization of Snow can be seen as a fulfillment of a promise made by Marvel Comics editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski, who during a visit to South Korea last August said new Korean heroes will begin to emerge in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
