CHANGWON, March 8 (Korea Bizwire) – The Changwon municipal government will launch a series of hydrogen car projects in a bid to promote the use of alternative fuel vehicles, starting with the opening of a hydrogen station tomorrow.
Changwon is the latest city in South Korea to join the recent trend of encouraging the use of clean energy on a local government level.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, local governments have been pushing clean energy car services, including Ulsan where a hydrogen-fueled taxi service began last December.
By 2020, the Ministry of Environment plans to supply 10,000 hydrogen cars and 100 hydrogen stations for public use.
