SEOUL, Jan. 28 (Korea Bizwire) — As an increasing number of people in their 60s and 70s are becoming familiar with mobile and smart devices, a growing number are turning to digital health products for Lunar New Year’s gifts.

Sales of band-type smart health care products, which measure pulse rate, exercise, and sleep quality soared 36-fold during the same period.
Other digital exercise products such as digital weight scales and smart watches, which can measure body mass index and body type, also saw rapid increases in sales.
EMS massage devices and belt-type message devices increased in sales by 40 percent and 42 percent, respectively.
With the growing number of tech-savvy seniors, the demand for digital health care products instead of traditional health products in increasing.
Seniors of the present generation are more independent and can take care of themselves in a way that was uncommon among seniors in the past.
It is becoming more popular among members of this generation to give digital health care devices to one another.
