SEOUL, Aug. 30 (Korea Bizwire) — More than 7 out of 10 South Korean office workers using flexible work systems felt an improvement in both productivity and work-life balance, a survey showed Monday.
According to a survey conducted by the Federation of Korean Industries of 723 wage workers, 73.3 percent of those using flexible work systems said that they were satisfied with their current arrangement.
Among those using flexible work systems, 77 percent of those said that the system has had a positive impact on work performance and productivity.
In response to a question asking about whether flexible work systems are effective in reducing unnecessary overtime work, 66.6 percent of the respondents said yes.
Another 74.3 percent of those using flexible work systems replied that their work-life balance improved after the introduction of such work arrangements.
Among such workers, the share of married workers stood at 67 percent, twice as high as the share of unmarried workers (33 percent).
