SEOUL, Oct. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — According to a survey, 3 out of 5 South Korean large firms are applying artificial intelligence (AI) to their actual work.
More than half of the companies even have related organizations.
According to a recent survey conducted by CEO Score, 57.3 percent (75 companies) of the total of 131 companies said they had introduced AI to their operations.
In addition, 70 companies (53.4 percent) had organizations to develop and operate AI, and 65 companies (49.6 percent) secured funding related to AI.
When asked about sectors that have introduced AI in their business areas, 40 companies (53.3 percent) answered that they are applying AI to develop products.
The list was followed by consumer service, accounting for 38 companies (50.7 percent), improving work conditions, at 30 companies (40 percent) and support of sales work, accounting for 15 companies (20 percent).
The desirability of the introduction of AI at companies was quite high. Some 63 companies chose more than five points out of seven, more than 80 percent of the total, and 13 companies, in particular, had a perfect score of seven.
When asked whether they planned to introduce additional AI, 93.3 percent of the 70 companies answered yes, which also gave a positive response to the expansion into other tasks.
Of the 56 companies that did not apply AI to their work, 42 (75 percent) said they planned to introduce AI in the future.
On the most difficult point in introducing and operating AI, 54 companies (72 percent) chose to secure specialized personnel.
