PAJU, Aug. 4 (Korea Bizwire) — A senior with dementia, reported missing, was found by a rescue dog.
The Gyeonggi Northern Fire and Disaster Headquarters received a report on Wednesday morning that a 95-year-old man, suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, had gone missing in Paju, north of Seoul.
A 119 emergency rescue squad and the police launched a search and rescue operation in the area at 3 p.m., accompanied by the rescue dog Taegong.
Fortunately, after just one hour, the dog found the missing senior resting near a sandwich-panel building.
The man had bruises on both arms and had lost a shoe, but otherwise, he was in good health.
