SEOUL, Aug. 28 (Korea Bizwire) – According to the Korean Film Council, Begin Again ranked No. 3 in Korean box office on August 25, bringing in 38,870 admissions, following The Pirates and The Admiral: Roaring Currents, both of which are Korean films.
Begin Again directed by John Carney, starring Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Adam Levine, and James Corden, is an American musical film.
In terms of diversity films, Begin Again crossed 372,745 admissions by now, topping Her which had been popular in Korea bringing in a total of 349,309 admissions.
As the number of moviegoers doubled compared to last week, in particular, the musical is expected to trump Apostle, a Korean film, with 424,358 admissions.
The newly released American film is seemed to break the movie records in the diversity film area. The film already set a record of 300,000 admissions within only 12 days after its release and of 62,128 admissions only on August 24. It is also staring 400,000 admissions in the face in the shortest period of time.
