BORYEONG, Aug. 18 (Korea Bizwire) – A new incarnation of the Boryeong Mud Festival will open in Spain on August 24. According to Boryeong, the ‘Little Boryeong Mud Festival’ will take place at the City Hall Square of Bunol, Valencia. The event is linked with ‘La Tomatina‘, a tomato festival that opens on August 26.
Boryeong sent over the mud powder that will be used at the festival, and six people including the mayor of Boryeong will visit Spain to supervise the event. Four small mud pools, two slides and four air bounces will be set up at the festival.
Boryeong mayor Kim Dong-Il expressed his optimism for the future of the event. “We are very proud that the Boryeong Mud Festival has reached an international level. We plan to continue linking the event with other festivals around the world, enhancing the status of the festival.”
