BUSAN, Jun. 13 (Korea Bizwire) — The Busan Transportation Corporation announced on Wednesday that it will expand its “Pink Light” service, a notification device for pregnant women, which is currently operating on the city subway lines No. 1 and 3, to all lines starting from the second half of this year.
“Pink Light” is the first subway device for pregnant women in South Korea.
It is a key ring-shaped wireless transmitter that sends a signal to the designated seat for pregnant women when they board the train.
When a pregnant woman rides on a train, the receiver installed in the seat reserved for pregnant women detects a signal from the “Pink Light” receiver and announces the pregnant woman’s boarding with lights and voice guidance.
