SEOUL, May 12 (Korea Bizwire) — Lotte World Tower unveiled on Friday its latest masterpiece: the “Garden Werther,” a resplendent floral haven located at the World Park’s outdoor lawn plaza in Jamsil, Seoul.
Encompassing an area of approximately 1,000 square meters (300 square feet) around the Goethe statue, the Garden Werther was inspired by Goethe’s novel “The Sorrows of Young Werther” and his poem “May Song (Mailied),” which extols the arrival of spring.
The Garden’s design weaves a compelling narrative of Werther’s infatuation with Charlotte, whom he meets en route to a ball and falls head over heels for at first sight. The exterior of the garden features mounding that creates a small hill in the midst of the woods, while a striking stone path in the center bears the original lines of the Song of May, adding a touch of romanticism to the setting.
