SEOUL, July 23 (Korea Bizwire) — Pet owners are scrambling to protect their pets from the summer heat.
A 29-year-old office worker surnamed Jeong recently purchased marble mats and cooling pads for his two dogs to keep them cool while he’s away at work.
He placed ice packs underneath his sofas, where his dogs like to stay.
On top of purchasing marble mats and ice water, some households are choosing to leave the air conditioner on all day long for their pets.
A 31-year-old office worker, for one, leaves his air conditioner on at 24 degrees Celsius for his two cats.
Experts say that the room temperature for pets should be kept at a similar level to what is comfortable for humans.
