SEOUL, April 26 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics Inc. is recycling packaging for home appliances to help animals live out a happy life.
Starting this year, the company will be donating 400 cardboard boxes used to pack washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, and other home appliances every year to the Animal Enrichment Program run by Seoul Grand Park.
The program aims to redesigns spaces to closely resemble the actual habitat of each animal, minimizing their stress and allowing them to naturally demonstrate their instincts.
The cardboard boxes donated by LG Electronics will be used as toys for lions, tigers, bears, chimpanzees, and other animals.
The large cardboard boxes should be a lot of fun for the animals to play in, LG said.
