DAEJEON, Feb. 23 (Korea Bizwire) — A Korean-style forest park will be set up near Angkor Wat Buddhist temple complex, Cambodia’s most famous tourist destination, using South Korean forest management technology.
The Korea Forest Service held the first plenary session for the Korea-Cambodia joint operating committee online on Tuesday.
The park will be set up at a location near Angkor Wat, which will take 30 minutes to reach by car from the temple or less than an hour from Siem Reap International Airport.
A natural habitat for an endangered species of roses is also located nearby, which may be utilized for developing various tours.
The Korea Forest Service will transfer South Korea’s forest management and operation technology to Cambodia to preserve the environment as well as revitalize the local economy.
