SEOUL, April 12 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Group has developed an electric vehicle (EV) charging service platform that will be installed in the company’s future super-speed charging stations.
The South Korean automaking titan announced on Monday the development of E-pit Charging Service Platform (E-CSP), a charging platform for EVs.
E-CSP consists of a control system for the operation of charging stations and a relay system connecting charging business operators and members.
The platform will be used for Hyundai’s E-pit super-speed charging stations, as well as being open to charging business operators.
Hyundai expects E-CSP to help improve the quality of EV charging service and bring more convenience to customers, thereby contributing to the growth of the domestic charging ecosystem from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives.
For existing charging business operators, E-CSP can help reduce the burden of service development and operation. In addition, E-CSP would make it easier for new businesses to make forays into the charging market.
Moreover, E-pit charging stations based on E-CSP will simplify the process of membership subscription and vehicle registration. In addition, the information on charging stations will be upgraded.
By minimizing defects, the new platform will provide a stable charging service to customers.
