SEOUL, Jan.13 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics announced that its ‘Milk’ music streaming service has surpassed the 30 million download mark worldwide.
After its release in the American market in March 2014, ‘Milk’ is now being offered in Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia, providing music streaming services.
Through a streaming radio service, users can receive music suggestions by selecting their preferred genre.
Of note, all users of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones can use ‘Milk’ without a subscription or having to log in.
In addition to recent releases, 200 stations selected by experts are also provided.
Domestic trends show that 28 percent of users prefer listening to ‘suggested music’ based on the songs and artists they like. The ‘Milk Chart’ ranked second (22 percent), followed by Ballads (13 percent) and K-Pop (7 percent). Currently, the number of downloads in Korea exceeds five million.
