BUSAN, April 1 (Korea Bizwire) – On the first day of the official election campaign, a college student was arrested for tearing down posters as part of his expression of rage at high tuition fees.
The police from Busan’s Nambu Station announced that they are currently investigating university student Kim (20) for damaging election posters.
Kim tore down posters of a certain candidate which were posted on the walls of an apartment building. After receiving a tip, the police investigated and followed Kim, who eventually admitted committing the crime.

Kim testified that he committed the crime because of sudden anger caused by overly expensive tuition.
The police explained that the penalty for damaging election posters is less than two years in jail, or a fine of as much as four million won.
