CHUNCHEON, Dec. 21 (Korea Bizwire) – Chuncheon City has been honored as an outstanding municipality for its success in dramatically increasing local business revenue through the private-public delivery app “Ttaenggyeoyo.”
At an awards ceremony hosted by Shinhan Bank and Ttaenggyeoyo on December 20 in Seoul, Chuncheon was among five regional governments, including Gwangju and Jeonnam, to be recognized for their achievements. It was the only basic local government to receive the award.
Chuncheon partnered with Ttaenggyeoyo to promote its use, resulting in significant cost savings for businesses, particularly in reduced service fees. Monthly sales soared from 37 million won before the partnership to over 700 million won last month—a staggering 1,840% increase.
The city plans to continue supporting local businesses in 2025 with delivery and discount coupons to sustain the momentum.
A city official emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating, “Using public-private apps is a crucial step in revitalizing the local economy and fostering mutual growth. We will continue to provide tangible support to benefit small businesses.”
