SEOUL, Nov. 25 (Korea Bizwire)Kia, LG Electronics, and Samsung Electronics have been ranked among the top companies for engineers in the United States by Forbes, highlighting their strong reputation in the competitive local job market.

According to an industry report on Sunday, Forbes, in collaboration with market research firm Statista, published a list of the top 175 companies for engineers, based on a survey of over 22,000 engineers working for companies with 1,000 or more employees.

The ranking took into account factors such as competitive compensation, benefits, professional development opportunities, and workplace flexibility.

Forbes noted that the demand for engineers in the U.S. is at an all-time high, particularly in advanced fields like software, electrical engineering, and robotics, where there is a significant shortage of skilled professionals.

Among the 175 companies, Kia ranked 53rd, LG Electronics was 64th, and Samsung Electronics placed 71st. These results reflect the high regard that these South Korean companies have earned in the U.S. labor market, especially as it faces a mismatch between supply and demand for skilled engineers.

Industry experts emphasized the importance of these rankings, noting that they underscore the influence and reputation of these firms in the competitive U.S. job market.

Sony topped the list, followed by Apple, Google, Microsoft, and NASA. Other notable companies in the top 10 include Michelin, Burns & McDonnell (the largest U.S. transmission construction company), SpaceX, Intuit, and energy infrastructure company Sempra.

Intel, a semiconductor company facing recent challenges, ranked 14th, while AI chip leader NVIDIA secured the 20th spot.
