SEOUL, March 12 (Korea Bizwire) — KT Corp., a major South Korean telecommunications firm, said Thursday that a ‘Smart Green Kitchen,’ a digital transformation (DX) platform tailored to the needs of food businesses, has been added to the newly opened 5km Kitchen, a shared kitchen in Seoul’s Seodaemun District.
A shared kitchen rents out cooking spaces to food businesses that only accept delivery orders, offering an integrated DX platform for the working environment, quarantine and safety, market analysis, and energy solutions.
Through integrated control and air quality analysis, the platform maintains the best air quality while eliminating hazardous particles during the course of cooking. Quarantine measures for the delivery personnel are also carried out simultaneously.
The platform also offers information on how energy is being used in the kitchen, as well as artificial intelligence (AI)-based kiosks and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Starting with Smart Green Kitchen, KT plans to make use of the DX platform at multipurpose facilities, franchises businesses, and new apartment complexes.
