SEOUL, Feb. 17 (Korea Bizwire) — Korea Post, the national postal service, said Wednesday that postal workers will be in charge of delivering COVID-19 home treatment kits to homes as part of their responsibility as public servants.
Registering delivery information on Korea Post’s online website at a local public health center will send a postal worker to deliver a treatment kit to one’s doorstep on the day of the registration, sending a text message to the recipient to notify him/her of the contactless delivery.
Postal workers delivering treatment kits will be provided with facial masks, hand sanitizer and other hygiene products.
Two-wheeled vehicles and other delivery trucks will go through a decontamination process twice a day, closely managing delivery loads and destinations to avoid an excessive workload.
The COVID-19 treatment kits contain fever reducers, a thermometer, an oximeter and sanitizer, and will be given to designated groups including those over 60 years of age.
