“Korea has a strong economic strength, and many fine customers, which makes it a very important market to SC Group. We are completely committed to Korea. We never thought of selling the Korea SC Bank, as we have a good brand here.”
- Bill Winters, CEO of SC Group
SEOUL, Aug. 18 (Korea Bizwire) – Bill Winters, CEO of Standard Chartered (SC) Group, quashed rumors that SC would withdraw from Korea by expressing his devotion to the Korean Market.
Winters has visited Korea a few times, but this was his first visit after he became CEO of the group.
At a meeting with the Korean employees of SC, he showed a positive response on changing the name of the bank so that the clients would not feel that it is hard to read.
“I will select that as a topic for marketing strategies for a global brand. We will make efforts to set our global standard and then allow the local management to localize the brand.”
