SEOUL, Aug. 2 (Korea Bizwire) — Coffee consumers were most satisfied with Starbucks Korea among all cafe franchises in the country, a poll showed Monday.
The Korea Consumer Agency conducted a survey of 1,400 consumers over 20 years of age who had visited a coffee shop in the previous three months, with Starbucks receiving the highest score of 3.99 points (on a five-point scale) in terms of overall consumer satisfaction, followed by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (3.93 points) and Hollys Coffee (3.92 points).
In terms of service quality satisfaction, Starbucks (4.16 points) and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (4.04 points) received the highest scores. In terms of product satisfaction, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf received the highest score of 3.94 points.
In terms of the level of service satisfaction in proportion to the level of expectation, Starbucks received the highest score of 3.98 points, followed by Ediya Coffee (3.94 points) and Hollys Coffee (3.93 points).
Consumers visited coffee shops an average of 11.7 times per month. At 29 percent, almost one-third of the respondents said they visited coffee shops fewer than five times per month, while 23.4 percent said they visited coffee shops 10 times per month or more.
