SEOUL, July 18 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul’s Yangcheon District announced on Monday that rest areas for pets have been installed at 40 public restrooms in the district’s parks.
Previously, pet owners struggled to find a place to keep their pets while using public restrooms. They had to either carry their pets inside the restroom or tie them up to a nearby tree.
In response, the district set up rest areas at 31 public restrooms in parks and nine public restrooms near Anyang Stream, where pet owners can leave their pets while they use the restroom.
Twenty of the resting areas are in the form of pole installations, while the other 20 are wall installations. The pole installation includes a container from which pets can drink water.
