HAPCHEON, June 14 (Korea Bizwire) — A cattle farm in the southeastern town of Hapcheon saw a cow give birth to female triplets.
Early in the morning on June 8, farmer Lee Sun-ho mistook the newborn calves for wild animals and tried to drive them out.
To his surprise, however, Lee realized that they were female triplets.
It is very rare for three female calves to be born at the same time.
The cow and her triplets have been reported to be in a very healthy state.
Lee is trying his best to feed colostrum milk to the calves, who were born 10 days earlier than expected.
The chance of a cow giving birth to female triplet calves stands at a mere 0.1 percent, and Lee’s triplets were a first for Hapcheon County.
