HAMAN, Jan 7. (Korea Bizwire) – A group of disabled children spent a lovely day at the Haman horse-back riding experience center.
The Haman branch of the Gyeongman Parent-Teacher Association for Disabled Children hosted the event to help develop independence and self-support among disabled children by providing them with a chance to experience new activities.
Another group consisting of 16 disabled children will also experience horse-back riding on January 7.
Haman has been running its ‘Student Horseback Riding Experience’ program since July 2015. A total of 173 children from 11 schools in the area have been provided with the experience of horseback riding.
Officials from the local office commented that they hope the experience helps to stabilize and nourish the disabled children’s emotions, through the gentle nature and kindness of the horses.
