DMZ Hiking Trails to Open in Gangwon Province

GOSEONG, April 18 (Korea Bizwire)Peace-themed hiking trails along the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating the two Koreas will open in four of the five autonomous regions in Gangwon Province starting Friday.

The trails will be open until October 31 in Cherwon, Hwacheon, and Yanggu counties, and until November 30 in Goseong County.

In Inje County, the course will be open from April 26 to December 3.

Each course consists of sections that can be traversed on foot or by car.

'ºñ¹«ÀåÁö´ë·Î °¡ÀÚ' DMZ ÆòÈ­ÀÇ ±æ °³¹æ

Weekday tours will take place on Wednesday to Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for groups of 20 people.

Local authorities will operate weekend tours on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m. for groups of 40 people.
