YONGIN, Aug. 26 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s first giant panda born through natural mating was found to be robust and healthy as it grew five times larger in just 30 days.
The baby panda was born at Everland, a theme park operated by Samsung Group, in late July.
It had pinkish skin, was no taller than 16.5 centimeters, and weighed only 197 grams.
In 10 days, however, black spots began to appear on the bears eyes, ears, arms and legs. In just 30 days, the baby panda grew five times larger, weighing more than 1 kilogram.
The baby panda currently lives with its mother in a special chamber inside Everland’s Panda World as it continues to be raised naturally.
Everland’s official SNS channels have been posting photos and videos of the newborn panda, garnering 10 million views so far.
