IMSIL, Dec. 10 (Korea Bizwire) — A dog from Imsil County, North Jeolla Province is gaining attention after ‘discovering’ its talent in football.
Leo is a pet dog owned by Shin Hyeon-hwak, a government employee at the Imsil County Office.
Leo was an abandoned dog. According to Shin, Leo was found during the monsoon season last summer, trying to escape the summer showers by hiding in a narrow gap between two buildings.
Shin immediately took the dog to a local animal protection center.
After hearing from the staff that the dog would be euthanized if a new owner wasn’t found, Shin brought the dog to his home.
Shin had been taking Leo out on walks when he discovered that the dog seemed to be interested in soccer balls.
He then bought a soccer ball for Leo, who played with it in the fields to master his ‘football’ skills.
