Seogwipo, Apr. 23 (Korea Bizwire) — A festival for bracken fern, a popular Korean delicacy known locally as gosari, will be held at Namjorobyeon in Jeju on May 2 and 3.
The 20th Jeju Gosari Festival offers visitors the chance to gather bracken with helpers’ instruction, learn how to cook bracken dishes and walk along bracken fields with views of the exotic volcanic landscape.
The festival also offers a traditional fabric dyeing class and horse-riding program.
Visitors can also participate in a vendor’s market to sell the bracken they gather, and donate profits to local charities.
There will be also local delicacy booths around the walking route prepared by the festival. The booths will be a great opportunity to taste dishes made with Jeju’s fish, pork and beef. Image Credit: Festival Organizing Committee / photonews@koreabizwire.com
