SEOUL, South Korea, Aug 30 (Korea Bizwire) – KT announced on August 29 that 26 medical staffers from Kazakhstan visited its Advanced Institute of Technology on the previous day to learn about KT’s health care service, as well as Korea’s next-generation medical technology that combines information and communications technology.

The medical team from Kazakhstan has visited Korea as part of the Kazakhstan government’s national development strategy, and with the support of the government of Gyeonggi Province will be trained with Korea’s medical system and other technologies, including cutting-edge knowledge in the field. The team will receive training until November this year.

The importance of ICT in medical services has grown in the past few years. In accordance with this trend, KT has partnered with Yonsei University’s Severance Hospital and its state-of-the-art medical treatment techniques to establish ‘HOOH Healthcare.’ The goal of ‘HOOH Healthcare,’ a joint venture that joins the medical and ICT industries, is to quickly respond to the rapidly changing environment of the medical health industry, to reduce medical costs by converging medical treatment and ICT, and to enhance the level of medical service quality in Korea.
