LG Electronics to Support Temporary Hospitals in India

SEOUL, May 13 (Korea Bizwire)LG Electronics Inc. is joining the efforts to help India, where the coronavirus pandemic has taken a drastic turn for the worse.

LG Electronics India announced Wednesday that it will donate 6 billion won (US$5.3 million) to build temporary hospitals in India’s 10 major cities including Delhi and Bengaluru, where a recent spike in the number of infections has led to a shortage of hospital beds.

Company donations will be used to purchase hospital beds, medication, and medical equipment, as well as cover other operating costs.

The company also vowed to offer monitors for medical use, refrigerators, and water purifiers to assist in the operation of temporary hospitals.
