SEOUL, Nov. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — Jungle gym-shaped ‘Media Art Trees’ will be installed at different locations in Seoul’s popular Myeongdong shopping neighborhood, according to local authorities.
The ‘Media Art Trees’, which will also serve as Christmas trees, will be displayed in three locations — in front of Myeongdong Cathedral, in front of Myeongdong Arts Theater and in front of Migliore Shopping Mall — until January 15 next year.
The sculptures, which are 6.85 meters tall and 4.05 meters wide, capture the meaning of light and color through media art and lighting production in various colors, the Jung District Office explained.
The district office added that the trees are a large-scale work of art bringing a message of peace and harmony for both foreigners and Koreans visiting Myeongdong, a popular tourist destination.
