SEOUL, Nov. 7 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his wife Kim Jung-sook on Tuesday will present traditional Korean stone bowls and brass spoons and chopsticks as gifts to visiting U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump after a state dinner, the presidential office said.

Moon will host a state dinner at the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae later in the day for Trump, who came to Seoul earlier in the day for a two-day visit.

On the back of the spoons and chopsticks, called “notsujeo” in Korean, the phrase “We go together” is engraved, along with the visit’s date — “2017.11.7.” They represent the close relations between the leaders and the strong alliance between their countries, the office said.

The stone bowls, called “dolsot” in Korean, are a symbolic gift given to those who have accomplished remarkable achievements, according to the office.
