Seoul, July 17 (Korea Bizwire) – Naver has announced that they will be providing indoor maps for 328 major transportation and business facilities nationwide.
Using Naver indoor maps, one can get information on the location beforehand, avoiding the chaos occurring in crowded and complex areas. Users can find out where the nearest customer centers, elevators and washrooms are, and for certain buildings, a 360 degrees panoramic view of the inside is provided, allowing the user to see what it actually looks like.
Naver has been providing its indoor map service since 2012. With the increase of large scale facilities with numerous stores and amenities, Naver decided to expand their range of service, reflecting the current trend.
The service will be provided on PC and the Naver Map application for iOS. Applications for the Android ecosystem will also be launched shortly.
Naver Map’s Kim Min-oh says, “Naver is planning to broaden their services by linking offline stores from ‘Shop Window’ – an O2O (Online to Offline) shopping platform – and various services provided by Naver. Users can experience various location-based services through these advancements”.
Naver has renewed their shopping page, to reflect the trend connecting online and offline shopping. The mobile page has already been updated, and the PC version will be renewed on July 22.
