Seoul, Mar. 2 (Korea Bizwire) — The National Assembly of the Republic of Korea is holding an exhibition of art pieces created by Paik Nam-June, the founder of video art who passed away in 2006, at the National Assembly main hall from March 2 to May 31. Paik Nam-June was an experimental pioneer of video art who created pieces celebrating a new form of communication in the information age.
The exhibition features the biggest movable piece of video art among Paik’s creation. The piece is a large-scale television installation adorned with 1950′s machinery and a dummy. The piece has been exhibited in Spain twice, and now belongs to the Busan Museum of Art.
