SEOUL, Oct. 26 (Korea Bizwire) – A Samsung OLED promotional event held on the sunny shores of Santa Monica, California has garnered a tremendous response from local attendees eager to explore this cutting-edge technology.

Organized by Samsung, the event offered consumers a unique opportunity to personally experience the exceptional performance and durability of Samsung’s product line.

The Samsung OLED promotional venue is strategically positioned at the entrance to the iconic Santa Monica Pier, a must-visit destination for tourists exploring Los Angeles County.

The event space, covering an area of approximately 33 square meters, is an open expanse adorned with a prominent Samsung Display logo.

It resides between the signage marking the historic Route 66′s western endpoint, a transcontinental highway connecting the United States’ eastern and western coasts, and the entrance to Pacific Park—a vibrant amusement park featuring a majestic Ferris wheel and public facilities. The event is open for a limited time, spanning roughly one week and concluding on October 29.

Visitors begin with an “OLED Finder” search zone, allowing users to determine whether their smartphone features a Samsung OLED screen. It further provided engaging hands-on zones designed to test the sturdiness of Samsung’s foldable OLED screens.

Activities include a “hammer smash” test and a “shake in sand and water” challenge, with the hammer smash activity quickly becoming a crowd favorite.

One young woman couldn’t contain her excitement, exclaiming, “Oh, my God!” as she attempted to hammer a foldable OLED screen, only to find it undamaged. A group of adults couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow!” as they enthusiastically wielded their hammers. The delight was shared by visitors of all ages.

At the heart of the event, a digital panel showcases the exceptional durability of foldable products. It is demonstrating this durability by repeatedly folding and unfolding the screens, a test that had already surpassed 120,000 folds. Visitors marveled at the foldable screens, which retained their pristine appearance despite this rigorous trial.

The event concludes on a creative note, offering attendees the chance to take memorable photos in front of a captivating graffiti artwork by John Bramblett, a talented visually impaired artist from Texas.

This unique event represents a departure from the typical operations of Samsung Display, a company that typically caters to cell phone manufacturers. The company’s decision to directly engage with consumers overseas underscores the significance of this event in showcasing Samsung’s OLED technology to the public.
