SEOUL, Sept. 5 (Korea Bizwire) – Sony Computer Entertainment Korea said on September 4 that it has completed the construction of the PlayStation classroom at the Seoul campus of Sangmyung University on the 3rd and will begin the first class on the 5th.

The PlayStation class was prepared for students taking game-related courses so that they could learn the principles of console games in an enjoyable environment. Within the classroom, there are PlayStation 4 and latest PlayStation Vita machines, with the tables shaped like the DualShock 4 controller.

The PlayStation class is not just a special class but one of the 3-credit regular classes that lasts 15 weeks from September 5 to December 19. Students will meet every Friday at 4 pm. Every week, special guest lecturers will be invited to speak in the class, including comedian Yoo Min-sang in the fourth week.

ShiroKawauchi, the head of Sony Computer Entertainment Korea, said, “I am glad to open the PlayStation course at Sangmyung University, the first university in Korea to create the game department within the college of software engineering.”

“We at Sony will do our best to deliver value to college students in many different ways.” he added. For the fall semester, the PlayStation classroom will be open to public between Monday and Thursday (3 to 5:30 pm) so that anyone can play PlayStation games.
