The term “Arisu” originates from an old Korean word denoting the Han River and the Yalu River, now serving as the brand name for tap water sourced from the Han River.

Previously, individuals had to queue at specific times to access water, but now they can enjoy Arisu at their convenience through these free vending machines, which dispense 350-milliliter bottled Arisu.

The city intends to explore the possibility of extending the availability of free Arisu vending machines to other facilities catering to the homeless and squatter camps, with the Resurgence Hope Center being the initial focus.
