SEOUL, May 4 (Korea Bizwire) — SK Telecom Co., South Korea’s leading mobile carrier, announced Friday that it will introduce a new 5GX Baseball Streaming Service using the over-the-top (OTT) service platform Wavve.
The new 5GX service offers multiple points of view and allows users to watch a game from a maximum of 12 different angles.
Users can enjoy various views of the game from a default angle, from the scoreboard, from a close-up angle of the pitcher and the batter, and from the analysis screen of all pitches and hits.
The live broadcast has been made possible by S-Tile technology, developed by SK Telecom, that allows users to control multiple video screens on smartphones.
Users will now be able to watch the game from multiple angles, SK Telecom explained.
