SEOUL, Apr. 24 (Korea Bizwire) — A promotional event for small and medium businesses will be held on a national scale from May 1 to 14, said the Korea Foundation for Medium Enterprises (KFME) on April 22.
A variety of businesses from bakeries to automobile repair shops will offer discounts or free gifts. For instance, about 100 members of the Korea Bakery Association will be offering a free baked good to customers purchasing two other items.
The Carpos, an association of automobile repair business owners, will provide free tire and air conditioning examinations for visitors. An association for grocery stores will have its members sell ice cream at a 50 percent discount.
Vendors who are members of an association for skin health and beauty will sell their skincare and body care products at a 20 percent discount. There will be vendors offering eggs at a 20 percent discount and a PC repair service with a 50 percent discount.
Choi Seung-Jae, president of the KFME, said that it has come up with the national promotion event to boost small and medium enterprises in these economically difficult times.
