WONJU, Jan. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — A suspension footbridge in Wonju, 130 kilometers east of Seoul, has emerged as a national tourist destination, attracting more than 1.8 million tourists in just one year following its opening.
“A total of 1,867,264 people have so far visited the bridge at Mount Sogeum since it opened in January last year,” the city government said Friday.
The 200-meter simple suspension bridge was set up 100 meters over the Seom River, making it the highest mountain bridge in the country, offering thrills and magnificent scenery.
The bridge was recently chosen by the culture ministry as one of the country’s 100 Must-Visit Tourist Spots for 2019-20.
