HWACHEON, Dec. 17 (Korea Bizwire) — A lighting ceremony will be held Saturday evening ahead of the 2020 Hwacheon Sancheoneo (mountain trout) Ice Festival, which kicks off on January 4.
The lighting ceremony of 27,000 lamps and fish-shaped lights in Hwacheon County, Gangwon Province, is expected to be the higlight of a street party to mark the start of the festival.
Saturday will also mark the opening of the world’s largest indoor ice sculpture plaza, showcasing more than 30 sculptures.
As the ice sculptures will be embedded with colorful LED lights, they are expected to create a more fantastic atmosphere.
