An AI robot will be capable of playing with the animals, and provide snacks regularly for training and education, district officials explained.

Gangdong District opened the Ribbon Center in 2017 to protect and send abandoned animals for adoption, but the facility has recently been struggling to maintain basic operations due to a lack of volunteers following the coronavirus outbreak.
